Day 1 :

• Introduction to Steels, Alloy Steels and Stainless steels
• Basic Welding Methods (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW and SAW)
• Metallurgical aspect of welding
• Fundamentals of WPS, PQR & WPQ and their importance in the welding process.
• Learn how to prepare WPS in accordance with ASME BPVC SEC IX.
• Significance of the different variables that affect welding quality.

Day 2 :

• Importance of PQR in qualifying
• welding procedures and ensuring quality.
• Learn how to prepare and conduct PQR testing and documentation.
• How to interpret PQR test results.
• WPQ in qualifying welders and how it differs from PQR.
• How to prepare and conduct WPQ testing and documentation.
